The last blog post

Hello everyone,

What a year 2016 has been now as we are wrapping up the year this is my last post. Going into seniors was a big step. Now as we finish the year this is the key moments of this massive year.

A year of success and this is something successful I did in my learning this year. I think something big I was successful on this year was my natural phenomena project. I did a lot of research and I think I did really well in the project. I did the affects of a bush fire and I got pretty good marks.

This is a challenge this year. A challenge I had was doing my migration project I didn’t get anyone in my family until the last day we had to put it in. I ended up doing my aunt and it turned out to be really good it was a challenge to do it in time but I think I did really well in the end.

I had lots of awesome moments this year here are some of them. I did the Melbourne city soccer clinic even though I don’t go for city it was still a great experience. I liked when we went to the migration museum and went to the sandridge bridge then ate lunch in the city. Book week was really fun, me and my friends dressed up as and we had a great day. Our trip to the zoo was pretty fun and researching into the animals was awesome. Our school dance was good and it was good to learn different types of dances.  A big moment was when we got our buddies at the start of the year and working with them through out the year.

All together it was a fun year that is wrapping up, and the journey for next year is about to begin.

Bye for the year.

Hello everyone,

This week we have been working on our big literature circle task. We used this ICT tool called glogster it is really cool and it is like making a poster online. I like glogster because other people can see your ideas and it is really easy to use.

On glogster you can put links on picture so if you click on the picture it goes there. You can make pictures enlarge and other cool things.

This is my glogster:

A challenge was that on the glogster you only had a limited amount of space I would love it even more if you had unlimited

Have you used glogster before?

If you haven’t I would try it.

Comment if you like mine

Bye for now

Crazy art 2

This week we made the ball baubles. They turned out really cool. I finished mine and it was all colorful. The main point was to zoom in on a  part of the Christmas tree and put the baubles on it. I was really happy with my piece and I think that one of the other classes should do it next year.

This is my art work:

Look at my first crazy art post.

Have you done this art before

Crazy art

Hello everybody,

In art this week we started our Christmas ball balls. We first did blow painting on our main page and in made me really dizzy. Than we painted cool patterns on 3 pieces of paper for next week when we put our ball balls on our main piece of paper I think it will be really cool.

We are not making 3D ball balls.

This is where we are up to:

Hello everyone,

In the last 2 weeks I was in Japan! It was a really good experience and I liked the county a lot. We did lots of different things there and it is different. The food is less filling and their traditions are very different like the halloween everyone dresses up. The rules there are weird too.

These are the best 10 things I did in Japan (not in order)

1.Go to the cup noodle factory and we made our own noodles! Then we went to the amusement park went on a double splash mountain.

2.Go to Yoyogi park and play soccer with some friends we made then see a guy that could blow balloons we couldn’t blow with his nose after we saw him at the end of Yoyogi park we saw these hip hop guys then we went back to see the   mum´s.

3.Go to Disneyland but the unfortunate thing is that it rained but we still had a good time.

4.We went to Nara to feed the deer and the deer were really greedy.

5.Buy my new boots from soccer shop kamo (I think this is the best soccer store I have seen.

6.Go to the BBQ grill and karaoke we had a really fun time there.

7.We went to Hiroshima and went to the atomic bomb dome and too the museum the effects of an atomic bomb are really bad and scary.

8.We went to lots of temples and shrines and after a while I got tired of them.

  1. Play soccer with a boy when we went to Gion

10.We went to lots of temples and shrines and after a while I got tired of them.

We had a great time in Japan and I would like to go again.

Inter-school sports

Hello everyone,

Today we had inter-school sports and I am in the soccer group. We played 3 games and we won 2 and lost 1. Our first match we lost 4-1 against St. Josephs then after that game we won 4-1 against Brunswick south west! After that win we had a 6-3 win against Brunswick south and I think we had a pretty successful day.

We scored some good goals and we did well.

Literature circles

This term we have been assigned new literature circle tasks and groups. This term we have a meeting with our group to discuss our book but this time we don’t do a task we bring two posted notes about our book. My book is someone like me and from the cover I thought it would be really bad but it is alright. In my group there is 5 people, Me (Noah), William, Namgyal, Alice and Gwenyth.

I think our first discussion went well and so far the book is good.

This is the cover of my book:

Our trip to the zoo

On Monday we went to the royal Melbourne zoo. Our main focus was the SOS 10. SOS 10 means save our species and there are 10 animals.

Everyone had to chose one animal to lend their voice to and we had to decide from the SOS 10 animals they were, the Tasmanian Devil, the Helmeted Honeyeater, the Western Lowland Gorilla, the Growing Grass Frog, the Lord Howe Island Stick insect, the Philippine Crocodile, the Orangutan, the Asian Elephant and the Australian Fur Seal. During the day we had to decide and put a wooden token to who we wanted to lend our voice to.

I chose the Helmeted Honeyeater because I learnt that it was the only native species of bird in Victoria.

I really enjoyed the day.

Here is a couple of photos from at the zoo:

Who will you lend your voice to?

Hello everyone,

Today I will be writing my goals for term 4. Everyone is getting existed because it 9ece4bcd4e189aa1d0ddb20b3865c805is the last term so my goal is going to be to stay calm during this term (Maybe I will get existed on the last day of school?). I really hope I can archive my goal and I think by being calm I will get better grades.

Migration over the seas

Hello everyone,

In inquiry in the last few weeks we have been working hard on a big project about migration. We have been researching facts about lots of different areas of migration, I did my research on refugees and asylum seekers. For my investigation I made a Venn-Diagram, Historical narrative and a piece of art. It was a pretty difficult task but I did it and I feel very grateful that I finished!

The most important thing that I learnt is that we should take more care of the refugees and not put them in a detention center when they come here. I most enjoyed making my painting because I was learning about refugees while doing something I loved. It was hard when my painting ripped and I had to do it again but I still finished.

I have put all my work onto these slide below:

What do you think of my project, comment below.
